Dragon Writing

Kia Ora Bloggers!

A few days ago for Writing we had a picture of a dragon,
and we had to add

  • I see
  • I hear
  • I smell
  • I taste (Not that I would eat the Dragon!😆)
  • I feel
  • AND
  • For this particular picture it's name
I used Canva  to make this presentation.

Have you used Canva before?
What did you make?

Ka Kite, see you next time!

  1. Hey Izzy,
Your dragon sounds rather appealing apart from smelling like rotten fish!!!
Did your friends have the same dragon or different ones?
Big love from auntie Julie xxxx

  2. Hey Fizz, using the senses is a great way to add detail to your writing, Roald Dahl was an expert at that, take a look at his writing in the Twits, and listen how he describes things when we watch Taika Waititi read James and the Giant peach.
I wonder if you could make the descriptions even longer. Can you describe the smell of ash...is it smokey? Does the smell of the rotten fish catch in your throat? What type of lizard does he look like? Can you describe his wings a bit more? Are they little, or really big? Do they make a sound when he flaps them. Is he a fully grown dragon? What is making the popping sound?
MaKe sure you really paint a picture in your readers head, that’s what great writers do.
Canva is a great way to present your work :)
